Most of the games and activities are designed to go in pockets to be kept in a large folder
This way the leader just needs to take the needed folder to a meeting, not over full boxes!

Ages: 7-11

There are four sets of sentences on a sticker sheets to be used on cards with pictures. There is a short Chant for the playing too. The activity can help fix problems in the unit.

 

Danger

Ages: 7-9

This is an activity best played with a small group. The cards with statements are designed to make the players aware where danger may be in their life.

Danger Match-up

Ages: 8-11

Best for small groups - up to four. The cards are to be matched up to earn the pair. Played a bit like the card game of memory.

 

Topics Board

Age: 8-15

This is a board and dice game. Small cards with words are scattered around the board and when a player lands on one she turns the card over to read and make comment on it. The activity can also help fix problems in the unit.

 

Two Games For Young Recruits

Age: 5-8

Our Happy Home
This game was made up for teaching a unit of 5-8 year old girls about being a Guide.
Based on events that make our being together happy or sad.
Feelings
Similar to above but points more to how each player feels towards the events on the cards.

 

Compass ~ Follow Directions

Ages: 8-12

This is a board and dice game. When a player lands on a direction space, her next move must be in that direction. This comes with instructions for setting a compass.
Note: This game will play differently as to how you set it on the table.

 

Compass ~ Shopping Trip

Ages: 8-12

The players use two spinners to move around the board to ’visit’ the shops to collect items on their ‘shopping lists’. This comes with instructions for setting a compass.

 

Fire Board

Ages: 8-10

When a player lands on a Fire square, she takes a card reads it out loud and goes forward or back as the card states.

This is a cute game played with bear tokens. As the players move about the board they land on a card that leads to an situation statement. She needs to say the Law that fits the situation to earn the bear card. The activity makes the guides aware of the Laws in their everyday life.

 

Laws Match-up

Ages: 8-10

The pieces can be used for one girl learning the Laws, to a group of four playing a game. And there are enough pieces for a group activity too.

This is a usual Bingo game but using situations instead of questions. It was designed to show the guides how the Laws are in their life.

This is a second play to make them think deeper as to how the situations fit the Laws.
